Rectangular Tube Laser Cutting

For the same weight, a rectangular section is stiffer than a square one in one direction, which is why it is used for beams, frames and load-bearing members. We laser-cut rectangular tubes with a long side up to 220 mm.

Different hole patterns, cable slots and joints on the wide and narrow faces are cut in one program.

Orientation matters on rectangular tubes

The wide and narrow faces of a rectangular tube carry load differently, so show the orientation on the drawing. Bolt holes at beam ends, cable passages and lightening windows are cut in one program. On long parts, dimension hole spacing from a reference end to reduce errors.
